Born in the United States and raised in Cork, Ireland, Hand developed his rugby through local club systems before continuing at Presentation Brothers College. He balanced rugby with athletics, achieving success as a sprinter while building his foundation in the sport.
He continued his development at University College Cork and gained additional experience during time at Baylor University. He went on to play club rugby with Cork Constitution, competing at a high level in Ireland.
He began his Major League Rugby career with the Chicago Hounds and Miami Sharks, where he made an immediate impact as a wing. He earned consistent starts and contributed in attack before joining the Seattle Seawolves for the 2026 season.
